Location: Where can you go shooting in Scotland?

The Clay Pigeon experience offered by Cameron House is located around a 5-minute drive away at the Loch Lomond Shooting School. Only 30 minutes from the big city life in Glasgow, you will find yourself immersed in one of the most scenic landscapes in the world. Your shooting adventure will take place right on the edge of the Trossachs, Scotland's first National Park, allowing you to take in the magnificent views while you reload, take aim, and fire.

Clay pigeon shooting is a challenging activity to take part in due to its precise and focused nature. Adjusting your aim after each shot, predicting the target's speed, direction and height, and keeping your own position and stance on point adds a lot of variables to perfect. We won't lie to you; it can be frustrating at times, but that only adds to the experience. With some expert guidance, you will be breaking clay on every shot, and believe us, it's a feeling worth fighting for!

 

Do you need to be an experienced shooter to go clay pigeon shooting in loch Lomond?

As with many of the other on-land activities offered at Cameron House, we want to provide the opportunity to adventurers from all walks of life the ability to take part in these experiences. It goes without saying that you don't have to be a sharpshooter to experience what Loch Lomond Shooting School have to offer. So, if you are a novice, there will be a former Scottish International Clay Pigeon Shot by your side, coaching you through it all. That doesn't mean that it'll be without its difficulties. There are no certainties in the highland weather and the unique landscape. And the number of different electronic trap setups offered can give even the most seasoned veteran a challenge.

 

Is clay pigeon shooting safe in Scotland?

Experiences like clay pigeon shooting can carry a lot of uncertainty with it. We understand that for some, the idea of shooting live ammunition can be daunting. However, with the expert advice from the shooting school and your very own clay pigeon shooting expert by your side, there is no place safer to learn how to shoot. You will be given highly rigorous safety instructions at the beginning of your experience. Your party will be overseen to ensure no causes for concern from every moment onwards.
