ITINERARY

Friday – Arrival & Welcome

Arrival and check into apartment from 4pm. Relaxed evening welcome drinks and buffet meal, plus meet your hosts, Dr Thomas A. Christie and Julie Christie, and other participants.

Saturday – Writing Workshops

Breakfast in The Clubhouse, lunch and dinner included with breaks throughout the day.

The Write Stuff: Getting into Authorship – An introduction and tips to take work from draft to publication. This session inspires participants to understand the publishing landscape, develop their writing skills, and gain the confidence to take their first steps towards a professional writing career. You’ll hear practical advice, creative strategies, and insider knowledge gained from over a decade of nurturing new writing talent.

So I’ve Got an Idea for a Book: How to Develop Ideas into Writing – Writers are invited to explore and shape their own creative concepts into engaging, structured manuscripts. Find your authentic voice, identify the right audience, select suitable formats and genres, and protect intellectual property. The session also includes personalised feedback and discussion of generative and assistive AI, giving attendees the tools to transform inspiration into clear, compelling writing with a strong sense of purpose and direction.

Write Time, Write Mind: Staying on Track with your Writing – Explore strategies for overcoming writer’s block, maintaining momentum, and establishing a sustainable writing routine. Learn how to carve out dedicated writing time, and develop a sustainable routine tailored to individual lifestyles. Participants leave equipped with strategies to stay motivated, boost confidence, and nurture a productive, resilient writing practice that allows their ideas to flourish.

Sunday – Promotion & Departure

Breakfast in The Clubhouse and light lunch provided, plus a chance to share any final ideas and thoughts with hosts before departure.

Getting on the Right Page: Promoting Yourself as a Writer – Attendees gain practical insights and inspiration to confidently raise their profile, share their work widely, and transform passion for writing into meaningful, lasting professional recognition. Discover strategies to stand out in a crowded literary marketplace. Learn to build a personal brand, how to connect authentically with readers, and harness opportunities across blogs, podcasts, audiobooks, and digital platforms.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable and non-transferable. We do recommend purchasing holiday insurance in case you need to cancel.
• Accommodation will be in a private en-suite double/twin bedroom within a two-bedroom apartment. The apartment will be shared by another attendee.
• A communal lounge/dining/kitchen area will be available in the apartment.
• Rate is inclusive of all advertised catering, two night’s accommodation and writing workshop by Extremis Publishing.
• Partner rate includes accommodation and all advertised catering.
• Minimum numbers are required in order for the event to take place. We therefore reserve the right to cancel your booking in full if these numbers aren’t reached. If this is the case, we will advise you by email no later than Monday, 27th of October, and a full refund will be given.
• Use of the thermal experience within the Cameron Spa as well as the leisure club facilities within Cameron House Hotel are included. Pre-booking for the Spa facilities is recommended.
