Cameron Lodges Backs Harvey The Hospice Heart

CAMERON LODGES BACKS HARVEY THE HOSPICE HEART IN HIS SECOND WORLD-RECORD ATTEMPT

Cameron Lodges on Loch Lomond has announced its support for Harvey, The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice Heart mascot, in his second world-record breaking attempt at the London Marathon later this year.

Harvey, aka Frank Gilroy from Giffnock, with the help of Team Cy-Run, is running the London Marathon in April 2023. He will be attempting to break his own Guinness World Record time of 3 hours, 17 minutes and 57 seconds, which he set back in 2016 for the fastest time in a charity mascot.

Cameron Lodges has extended its support for Harvey, by offering full use of the Cameron House Resort’s leisure facilities in the final few weeks of training.

Harvey will have exclusive access to the state-of-the-art gym, fitness and spin studio. He can also test his endurance in the 18m swimming pool, before relaxing in the steam room, sauna and bubble pool –  perfect for a post-workout cooldown.

Harvey has also received a VIP invite back to the Cameron Lodges on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond for a special off-the-grid-getaway and relaxing mini break after his strenuous training regime.

Over the years, Harvey and Team Cy-Run have raised over £125,000 for The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. Harvey’s latest fundraising efforts will help the independent charity’s efforts to provide free palliative and end-of-life care for people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families, across South Glasgow and East Renfrewshire.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice provides free, world-leading hospice care through dedicated support in homes and local communities, a state-of-the-art hospice in the largest city in Scotland.

Frank Gilroy said: “I am thrilled and grateful for the support from Cameron Lodges in my second world-record attempt at the London Marathon. Their generosity in providing access to their top-notch leisure facilities will undoubtedly help me in my training, and the relaxing mini break after the race is something to look forward to.”

Allan Reich, Managing Director, Cameron Lodges said: “We are proud to once again be supporting local champ Harvey in his efforts to train and fundraise for The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice. The funds raised will be used to reach more families across the west coast and we are proud to support such a deserving local effort.”
