Cameron House Celebrates AA Red Star Award

Recognised As One Of The Finest Hotels In Britain

Five-star Loch Lomond resort, Cameron House Hotel, has been recognised as one of the finest hotels in Britain & Ireland, receiving the prestigious five Red Stars from AA inspectors for 2022/23.

Regarded as the AA’s supreme accolade, the AA Inspectors’ Choice Red Star Award highlights hotels of all sizes which stand out as exceptional.

Cameron House Hotel, which sits on the bonnie banks of the loch surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, achieved the maximum five stars for its excellent levels of quality throughout, and outstanding hospitality and service.

Nestled within 400 acres of beautiful countryside, in Scotland’s Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, the world-class resort celebrates the art of Scottish hospitality at its very best.

Following the meticulous restoration and renovation of stately mansion, Cameron House has created 208 luxurious bedrooms, including 28 suites, blending grandeur, elegance and comfort.

Superb guest facilities include an award-winning spa with rooftop infinity pool, 18-hole championship golf course and 29-seat cinema, as well as a choice of restaurants and bars tailored for every occasion and always championing local produce.

The coveted Inspectors’ Choice 5 Red Star Award marks a double AA success in 2022 for Cameron House Hotel. Its innovative fine dining restaurant Tamburrini & Wishart also received three rosettes earlier this year.

The completion of a multi-million pound extension in Autumn 2022 added 68 new bedrooms and suites, most with large balconies, a 700m2 ballroom and a new terrace offering spectacular views of the loch which is perfect for large receptions, conferences and banqueting.

A truly memorable stay is enhanced by an exhilarating programme of activities, with segway safaris and 4X4 driving routes, pony trekking, falconry and clay-pigeon shooting, paddleboarding and kayaking all set against a stunning backdrop. Guests also have the opportunity to appreciate the iconic Scottish scenery from the air, taking the Loch Lomond Seaplane over lochs, glens and mountains for an unforgettable experience.

Commenting on this latest award, Resort Director Andy Roger said: “It is fantastic recognition for the entire team who have worked hard, focusing on elevating the guest experience at Cameron House since we reopened in October 2021.”

In such challenging times within the hospitality industry, it is even more pleasing for the team to be recognised in this way and mirrors the wonderful feedback we consistently see from guests about the team and the role they play on creating unrivalled experiences on the resort.
