Cameron House focuses on sustainability drive with two new appointments

New Sustainability Appointments At Cameron House

Cameron House has appointed Jim Brown as Director of Environment and Sustainability, alongside Tim Henson as Environment and Sustainability Officer.

Both Jim and Tim hold a strong passion for the environment, and have been working hard on Cameron House’s sustainability goals for many years in their previous roles on the resort. Cameron House is committed to protecting the natural environment, and is adopting and promoting sustainable practices so this is protected for generations to come.

Their new roles will include:

  • Overseeing the development of positive relationships between Cameron House and the local community, as well as the National Park Authority.
  • Ensuring all suppliers to the hotel are at the helm of sustainable sourcing.
  • Developing and implementing “stringent” initiatives related to energy, water, waste and recycling that are consistent with Cameron House Resort’s sustainability policy and goals.
  • Ensuring a “harmonised approach” incorporates all aspects of the 400-acre resort, including Cameron House Hotel, Cameron House Lodges, the Marina, The Boat House, Cameron Club and Cameron Spa.

Jim Brown commented on his new role: “I’m very excited to drive Cameron House to fulfil its full environmentally-conscious potential. Combining my decades-long knowledge of the resort with cutting edge technology and innovative solutions, I’m looking forward to seeing the positive changes and impacts we can make for the resort and its surrounding area as a whole.”

Tim Henson will focus on woodland and estate management duties, while also supporting green initiatives and working towards achieving our sustainability ambitions at Cameron House Resort.
